THE FAIR EMAIL MANIFESTO

Your customer history is not inventory.

Email should cost more when it does more, not simply because your business remembers more people.

A PUBLIC
PROMISE

Carry the message. Keep the relationship.

Email is infrastructure for relationships.

Every password reset, receipt, welcome note, and campaign begins with a person your business has a reason to remember.

Some email platforms turned that memory into the meter. A customer can stop opening, unsubscribe, or wait quietly for years and still help move the account into a more expensive tier.

We think that is backwards. The work has a cost. Remembering the relationship should not create a tax by itself.

Linnet exists to make the work visible: what was sent, what it cost, who approved it, and what happened next.

OUR COMMITMENTS

Six lines we intend to hold.

If we cross one, you should be able to point to the promise we broke.

  1. 01

History alone does not raise the price.

Keeping a person and the permission record attached to them is not billable work by itself.

  2. 02

    Email work has clear limits.

Sends, automation, storage, and support have real costs. We will name the limits and meter the work.

  3. 03

Critical email gets its own protection.

A campaign mistake should not silence receipts, password resets, or the messages a customer is waiting for.

  4. 04

Your records can leave with you.

Contacts, permissions, blocked addresses, and delivery history should be exportable in a useful form.

  5. 05

    Agents prepare. People authorize.

AI can do the routine work. Consequential sends and production changes still need human approval.

  6. 06

The bill is explainable before it arrives.

Pricing and limits should be written plainly enough for a team to check without opening a spreadsheet.

THE HONEST BOUNDARY

Fair does not mean unlimited.

Sending email uses infrastructure. Automation, stored activity, support, abuse prevention, and regional processing cost money. We will price the work and publish the limits. We will not pretend that a growing address book is the same thing as growing work.
